Haider is my toughest film, says Shahid Kapoor

Actor Shahid Kapoor, who just wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film 'Haider', says it was one of the most challenging movies of his career.

'Haider', which is an adaptation of Shakespearean tragedy Hamlet stars Shahid, 33, in the titular role opposite newbie actor Shraddha Kapoor.

The Vishal Bharadwaj directed film is slated to hit theatres on September 12.

"Its a wrap on 'Haider'...Only when you play hamlet you realise what a complex part it is...Probably my toughest yet!! And where does the bus go from here...No clue yet...Deep deep house and very very comfy sofa for now," Shahid posted on Twitter.

'Haider' also stars Irrfan Khan, Tabu and Kay Kay Menon. The film's shoot in Kashmir had to be cut short or halted from time to time as the crew met with frequent protests from the locals.

A source says, “Sonakshi and Shahid were acquaintances when they started shooting for the movie, but later as they got to spend time with each other on and off the sets they realised that they were more than friends. And anyway both them were single.”

The spark is equal in both the sides and both are very devoted to one another and spend quality time with each other to know one another better. It is also heard that when Shahid was in Ahmadabad during film promotion, he brought a saree for Sonakshi.

“Sonakshi and Shahid have recently started seeing each other and they are very fond of each other, but right now it’s too early for them to talk about it. They want to keep their fondness under wraps,” adds the industry source.

In the past, Shahid Kapoor reportedly dated Kareena Kapoor and Soankshi was romantically linked up with Ranveer Singh but the rumor died with time.
